Calling all kids 12 and under! Come with your decorated bikes to the Walker Festival’s Bike Parade. This year’s theme is the 1960s’ – so get groovy with your bike decorations. There will be goodie bags for the first 100 kids. We will also have prize drawings and prizes for the top 3 best decorated bikes.

Next years Walker Festival date is Saturday, June 16, 2012! It’s going to be extra special since it is The City of Walker’s 50th Anniversary. We can’t wait!
A packed hospitality tent was the venue for dozens of idol hopefuls at the Walker Festival on Saturday, June 18th. The competition was fierce and a panel of three celebrity judges struggled to determine the best in each class based on vocal performance, stage presence, execution, song choice, technique and appearance.
After a hot competition and an even hotter stage, the winners were announced.
Junior Competition

Teen Competition
First Place: Cherry Sauce
Second Place: Colin Tobin
Third Place: Becky Byers
Adult Competition

All winners in each division received cash and prize packages. They also earned an invitation to compete in a statewide SING OFF in late November 2011 with a grand prize of a fully produced CD of 10 songs!
